The glass plate stereoview slides and viewer were purchased by Hugh O. Merron in Paris, France. Merron served in the American Expeditionary Forces stationed in France during World War I. He was in the Foot Bound Infantry. Merron was born in Syracuse, New York on February 12, 1894. He and his wife, Berdella, did not have children.
